The focus of this small simplicity challenge is to encourage you to have time without a screen.
Are you using your phone, TV and computer screens in the best way to serve you? Or are you getting distracted by the pings, texts and busy screens?
Instead of scrolling through social media to see how everyone else is spending their day, maybe you could look at ways you can spend YOUR day instead!?
Before you panic, I’m definitely not suggesting that screen time is bad!
I use a variety of screens for work, leisure and my blog. I love TV and my phone is my window on the world, but I do honestly think screens have their place.
There is SO much more to life if you can pull your eyes away from the glare or learn to put your phone away from time to time.
For this challenge, I’m going to ask you to come away from the screens!
I know you might use these at work but in your free time, I want you to switch off your TV, computer and to not touch your phone for a while.
Forget about other people’s perfect Instagram lives or Facebook status and focus on your own.
Plan how you’re going to use the time instead…
Read a book, listen to a podcast, plan your next family day out, declutter your home, take the kids to the park, cook, play a musical instrument, go to the library, go to a coffee shop… the choice is yours.
Try it for today and see what you end up doing instead!
Thank you for joining me in this small simplicity challenge.
