WHY DECLUTTER YOUR HOME?
Decluttering your home has so many benefits.
It will make your home feel bigger and more spacious. You’ll have room to sit, eat, relax, work, study, entertain. You’ll be able to ENJOY YOUR HOME more.
You’ll have less stuff to move, tidy up, clear away and clean so looking after your home and keeping it clean and tidy will take up far less of your PRECIOUS TIME.
Clutter has also been shown to increase stress levels, decrease our focus and concentration and negatively impact our PHYSICAL and MENTAL HEALTH.
So, having less clutter doesn’t just help you have a nicer looking home, but it helps you RELAX, FEEL BETTER and LESS OVERWHELMED.
WHY DECLUTTERING CAN BE TOUGH
I know how it is with decluttering. It can feel very difficult and daunting and we build it up to be some big scary monster. We worry about lack of time, lack of help, lack of energy or physical restrictions.
It’s also difficult knowing where and how to start.
All of these factors, alongside dealing with the usual challenges of every day life, just make decluttering feel tough – tougher than it needs to be.
HOW TO MAKE DECLUTTERING EASIER
I think we can do quite a few things to make decluttering easier. One of these is to put less pressure on ourselves to do big, complicated and totally planned out decluttering.
What about starting small, tiny even, and doing one little decluttering project at a time? You’ll be able to declutter in the small windows of time you DO HAVE, PRACTICE making decisions over what to keep and what to get rid of, and importantly, BUILD YOUR CONFIDENCE as you go.
This will remove some of the pressure that we often put upon ourselves, and also make decluttering your home more manageable EVEN IF you have a busy life, busy home, busy family (or all three!).
